Women interested in starting up their own business now have another tool at their disposal courtesy of the U.S. Small Business Administration (which is now 50 years old, by the way!). According to a press release from 25 January 2006, the SBA's "MY BIZ for Women" is designed to provide one-stop access for women entrepreneurs.
Of course the focus is on the resources the government has to offer, including links to the SBA's counseling and business center locations and information about government contracting opportunities for businesses.
According to the release the new web portal will offer "up-to-date information about the issues of women in business". Tips and inspirational stories, as well as articles from guest columnists and research/data about women in business will be made available to visitors as well.
Pop by the new "MY BIZ for Women" site to access the information, check their events calendar, or sign up for the free e-newsletter.
