I had to laugh when I saw the sponsored result (ad) for the Downtown Women's Club pop up on an Alexa search for "women in business" today. The line associated with it actually made me chuckle because it mentioned something about forgetting about the "good old boys club"...that women should join the Downtown Women's Club. Of course, I just had to check it out!
The good news is the site is clean and informative, and it looks like there are chapters in several large metro areas across the USA. Members can receive a variety of discounts on products, services and events, based on locale, and a job board is available for folks to seek or post employment opportunities. The Resource Library offers members access to podcasts and articles from contributing partners such as PINK Magazine.
