Social life is a very important aspect of a women's overall wellness. There are some interesting facts on the California State University, Chico, web page. Such as, socially isolated people are more susceptible to illness and have a death rate 2-3 times higher than those who are not socially isolated. Also, people who maintain their social network and support systems do better under stress.
So Workerette's, this is another reason it's important to take time out for you! Don't feel guilty, don't feel your neglecting family time, because if you're not "well," you are no good to your family or your job. It doesn't have to be an elaborate evening on the town, take a walk, go for a drive, catch a movie, or hug someone!
My grandpa used to tell me, "Hugging is healthy, it reduces stress, it's free, it's all natural, non-taxable, and 100% returnable." I have to say he was right! Have a great weekend!

You are so right! It took me a LONG time to figure this out and actually do it, and once you do put yourself first and then take care of anyone else, you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner. It makes all the difference in your life and those around you.
Great post!
