We all know the saying, "Laughter is the best medicine," but there really is some validity to that statement. According to laughtercoach, laughing strengthens your immune system, enhances cardiovascular flexibility, releases emotional pain, releases tension and stress which opens room for clear and creative thinking, and it helps to lower blood pressure.
People have different things in their lives that cause stress, and naturally we all react and handle stress differently. But because almost everyone has the capability of laughing, many companies and corporations are being turned on to laughter therapy, and are using it as a way to help employee morale. You can become a certified laughter leader, and there's even an organized and world laughter tour, started by two doctors.
You don't have to be a comedian to benefit, tell a simple joke, unwind, watch a funny sitcom or movie, or laugh for no reason, other than to lower stress and clear your mind!

So true! I recently met someone who can actually make me laugh until I cry. How I relish those moments in the heat of everything else going on in my week!
