A Workerette's Wellness: Women, Is Your Sex Drive In Neutral?

Sex life used to be such a taboo topic, but today I find more women speaking candidly about their personal lives.  It's not only topic of discussion with friends, but also with colleagues.  It seems women are reaching out, trying to find the secret to what contributes to a healthy sex life.  I mean face it, "Workerette's" are on the go all day.  Our days start very early, and end later and later.  Who has the energy for sex?  Another issue is schedules.  I know a lot of couples, myself included, who aren't even home at the same time.  My husband works second shift, he doesn't get home until midnight, and I've been asleep since 10:30 p.m..

But no matter how you cut it, somethings got to give.  I'm learning, just like anything else in our lives, we have to prioritize.  Talk with your doctor, sometimes it might be hormonal, or medical.  There are some products out for women such as ArginMax, and Avlimil, that are suppose to be made with natural ingredients that boost your libido.  Do they work?  My doctor actually recommended Avlimil to me so I tried it for three months and didn't get any noticable results.

But unfortunately, for the majority of women, I don't believe there's a pill that can cure this.  It's a matter of timing, building up to the moment, setting the mood.  Women want the romance and ambiance  that go along with the physical aspects of the sex experience.

I recommend a "date night" for all couples.  Just as if you aren't married, plan the night, set a time, and get ready in separate rooms to create some suspense and to have the opportunity to greet each other with a kiss.  Marriage is about friendship and intimacy, and I think our lives get so hectic we forget what it's like to be friends.  So take the time to work at the passion, and make it a priority.

As I was researching this, I came across an article and in it I saw a quote that read, "It is the legal responsibility of a wife to have sex with her husband as it is the legal responsibility of a husband to have sex with his wife! Please don't pretend you're doing me a favor, it is your job!"   WOW, what a statement.  I'm not quite sure how to respond to that, I am only able to laugh at the ignorance.
