I spotted a blurb in the "Your Life" section of Parents Magazine yesterday that has added a new title to my library list. Apparently media maven Bonnie Fuller has checked off another "to-do" on her list: her new book The Joys of Much Too Much is on its way to those of us who need some good pull quotes to gab about.
According to James Brady over at Forbes, this Workerette is one seriously successful go-getter. In addition to her editorial stints (see the Forbes piece for a rundown), she's a wife and mother of four. According to the Parents review, Fuller "exhorts working moms to live a supersize life." I don't think I could take a supersized version of my life, thanks, but I do heartily agree with her retort to "not doing it all". Fuller's response? "Cancel that guilt trip! What is the point of beating yourself up about not being the perfect mother or homemaker?"
Amen and amen! Trip canceled; glad the tickets were refundable. I decided a year ago that I'm going to do what I can each day and anything I can't get done, well, I'll tackle that the next day. And if it doesn't get done then, tough. Forget guilt...LIVE.
