Need a little something to get you past "hump day" this week? Pop on over to the Charlotte Observer and read these comments and stories from Workerettes who are past winners of the Charlotte BusinessWoman of the Year award.
Mary Tribble's story of bonding with Kalahari women in Botswana will remind you of how important it is for us to commune, not compete. Can you imagine sitting around in a circle with 20 of your closest girlfriends delighting in each others' beauty (inside and out)? I'm not a real makeup hound, but I do like to "clean up good" from time to time. I can only imagine the spirit that filled those women as they took time to help each other feel attractive and cared for.
I also got a good laugh out of Elaine Lyrely's "I thought that was why you were here" retort. Oh my! Can you imagine the look on that fella's face?
Go read it...you'll get a good dose of inspiration and giggles for the day.
