"Women's hands: They cook and clean, mend and fix, touch and soothe.
"Women's hearts: They ponder and plan, comfort and care.
"Women's work: It raises families, builds businesses, and realizes dreams."
(Country Living magazine, March 2006, pg. 95)
Just about everyone touts March as the month of St. Patrick's Day, but we Workerettes should also be celebrating this month by acknowledging the trials and triumphs of the generations of women who have come before us and those that will follow. March is Women's History Month, and what a history we have!
If you'd like to take a few minutes to learn more about Women's History Month, whether to learn about those who preceded you or to learn ways to preserve your own history for those who come next, try out a few of these links:
- The History Channel is recognizing women with special website content and programming all month long.
- The National Women's History Project has a list of news and events pertaining to the preservation and promotion of women's history.
- Time for Kids has resources galore for teachers and students of women's history...perhaps a site to visit with your daughters?

I like that! Wow, Melonie, you sure have been busy! Great site!
