According to Friday's edition of The Hindu, Rajshree Pathy has been named Woman of the Year by the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) in India. Chairperson and Managing Director of the Rajshree Group of Companies, she was honored on Thursday and gave an address to women entrepreneurs present. Many congratulations from Workerettes the world over!
Her mantra, "Life is a roller coaster ride -- enjoy the highs and survive the lows", could apply to anyone, anywhere, but I believe it is especially applicable to us Workerettes. Whether you are nurturing that dream of a business, working part-time and parenting full-time, or climbing the corporate ladder, you'll face crises and opportunities. There are plenty of sayings to build us up on these lines, such as "When God closes a door, He opens a window". My personal favorite has become "be not a victim, but a survivor."
