The $10 bill gets a make-over, complete with color! In order to stay ahead of the counterfeit game, the U.S. Treasury Department continues to give our currency a fresh face. The new bill has splashes of orange, yellow, and red, along with a red image of the Statue of Liberty's torch.
To hold the new bill in your hand, you can almost mistake it for an aged bill. The yellow-orange tint gives the appearance that the bill is old, and the paper itself even feels weathered, not crisp as most new bills feel. Also, another new feature I immediately noticed is the revised portrait of Alexander Hamilton is set to the left side, rather than centered.
I think it's good to see our currency get a fresh face. When you get your hands on one of the new bills, I think you'll see it's very apparent the government is trying to prevent fraud and counterfeit activity with U.S. currency.
