Elites TV has an interesting article about Shannon Cherry, owner of public relations firm Be Heard Solutions, and creator of the Mommy, Inc. blog. As a home-based Workerette, Cherry's got her hands full -- she has a business and twin girls!
I agree wholeheartedly with her comment that working from home while raising a family can be the closest thing to the best of both worlds. Even with the trials come plenty of triumphs, but we have to support each other through it all. The article includes several tips for those of you who are considering hanging out a shingle and working from home. They include:
- Recognize that you already have the skills to run a business if you can run a family.
- Create a plan of action.
- Find some support.
- Don't expect it to be the perfect balance!
