Do we have any Workerettes who'll be near Syracuse next week? On April 11th, the "Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship" conference will be hosted by the Falcone Center of Entrepreneurship in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management over at Syracuse University. According to this article at Syracuse.com, speakers will include Cordia Harrington (an entrepreneur also known as "the Bun Lady" for her foresight in building business as a baker for McDonald's), Sheila Johnson (co-founder of Black Entertainment Television), and several other phenomenal role models for women in business.
A number of breakout sessions are planned as well as the presentations by the speakers and several networking opportunities during meals and receptions. If you're in the area, be sure to let us know what you glean from the conference!
