Women in the financial world are developing a network of peers. Women's eNews takes a look at the leadership theme that's becoming a popular trend with Wallstreet women and females working in the male dominated world of finance.
The Financial Women's Association encourages members and colleagues to participate in peer circles to talk about their success stories and the how they've gotten where they are in the business world. In the "success circles" mentors offer advice and support, and reach out to other women in similar situations, to talk about advancement on the corporate ladder.
Even in the world of healthcare, I find that networking is very helpful to keep ideas and information fresh, and to help maintain focus and direction, especially when burnout starts to rear its ugly head. However, some people, not just women, feel that they need to hold onto their ideas, because the ideas are their's to keep. I feel when you share, you get back double what you contribute. Any women's network's out there that need publicity?
