This study sponsored by Salary.com has come across my radar several times, but lately it's getting a lot of press. (Some smart PR on their part, frankly!) According to their findings, a stay-at-home mom's salary, if she were paid one, should be more than $130,000. Mothers who also work outside the home would earn her own wages plus an additional $84,000 for her work at home.
Seriously though...how do you feel about these numbers? Think they are low-balling or ranging high? Do you want to know what you would be "worth", based on the 10 jobs most commonly applied in a mother's day, number of children and location? You can pop by Mom.Salary.com to find out. They'll even create you a (pretend) check for all you do.
Not negotiable tender, unfortunately. Wonder if they'd like to give it to me in spa gift cards instead? heh heh.
