Trace Adkins said it right...just because some of us are moms doesn't mean we aren't still stunning women with plenty to offer. According to this article in the New York Sun, the "hot mom market" is heating up fast. The founders of the Hot Moms Club are spreading the word that mommies don't have to be "blah" just because they've given birth, with mompreneurs like Jennifer Vaughan Maanavi (founder of New York's Physique57) and Tanya Kazeminy Mackay (of Mama Mio) there to help us keep our cool and our, well, hotness.
Brandweek editor Karen Benezra attributes part of the trend to our fascination with celebrities, which contributes to the feeling that even new moms should be slim, trim and feeling ready to hit the red carpet again right away. Turns out Jessica Denay, one of the Hot Moms Club founder, has even penned a book for those who need some support and encouragement (and maybe a reminder too!). The Hot Mom's Handbook was just released in April, under the premise that motherhood needed to have some "sizzle" added to it.
Does that mean we're now out of the frying pan, into the fire? If so, I'm glad for the reminders...they sure helped me! (Especially Trace's version!)
