This must be my week to find all sorts of new goodies, because right after finding Lily, I spotted the new publication from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO). Blueprint is supposed to help you "design your life"...and I think it shall. Cover features in the premier issue (Summer 2006) include more than 400 solutions for "better rooms, meals, hair, sleep" (I'll be reading the better hair and sleep articles twice, thanks). A bonus guide offers sofa shoppers a buyer's handbook, and gals who are on the search for something slinky may enjoy the sexy dresses piece.
This glossy has the basic look and feel of most of MSLO's offerings (especially the "Charm School" article...that seems to be straight off The Martha's desk!), but the lay out is a little more like a casual Friday than a starched suit. The cover shot and layout actually reminded me of Budget Living, which is why I originally gravitated toward it. This pub is more formal and dreamworthy on the inside though, and if I had to choose, I'd go with Martha's new arrival. It makes me want to relax, read, and dream of holding a "Quick-Prep Dinner Party". Hmmm...what page is that feature on?
