Thanks for your feedback. As I recall, Lily had a survey in the back of the premier issue asking if readers were interested in subscribing if the option were made available. Be sure you get in touch with them so they know they've got a fan base already!

Lily magazine by the Meredith Corporation is a breath of fresh air. My ten year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed thumbing through the magazine together. I've since left it on the guest room nightstand to share with family and friends on their overnight stays.

I also enjoyed the premier issue of Lily and looked forward to the next issue...but was told by the retailer where I purchased the first copy that it had been discontinued due to lack of interest...does anyone have any info regarding this? I would be disappointed ..are there other publications similar to Lily? Thank you

Great question! It's possible that the bookseller/newsstand you spoke with has just let their distributor know that they don't wish to stock the publication again. I'm not certain on a national level, but I'll post here if I hear anything!

I received a call on 06/22/06 from a woman at Lily magazine as I had left them a message (when their Premier issue came out), as well as had emailed them. Both the call and email were to congratulate them. Today, I got the bad news that due to "legalities" and the woman didn't know what those legalities were, the magazine has been cancelled. She said it may be back in a year OR never. I told the woman that I enjoyed the magazine SO much, I had even written down on my calendar to look for the next issue, which was supposed to be out by June 27th.

I was so looking forward to the next issue coming out. Why is it that we are flooded with porn and smut? But we can't keep one positive Christian influenced magazine on our newsstands? This saddens me greatly.

That saddens me greatly! Every time I am in the store I look for the new issue. I was so excited when they said it would be out the end of June. I am going to call the company and find out how we all can help to get this magazine back. They can have magazine's like Playboy/Playgirl and the one about the gay lifestyle, but somehow it is affending people to have a magazine about family christian values, what is wrong with this country! Let's see what we all can do to get our magazine back!

How do I get a subscription to the Lily Magazine?

I received an auto-reply email from Meredith Corp. on July 21st stating that Lily Magazine has been discontinued and there are no plans to publish any more issues. How sad! I loved LILY!

Thank you for the update, I have been going into my newstand on 22nd and Park Ave (actually NEAR the Meredith offices) looking for issue number TWO every monday since the first one came out -- I bought ALL of the copies and gave them to friends and family! How disapointing that they folded so quickly. This was my fave magazine since Hearst got rid of "Victoria". I guess I will be writing a letter....

Please bring Lilly back. I found a renewal of spirit after reading it. Of all the magazines I have read in the past, I found this one to be the most encouraging and inspirational. Please, please bring it back.

I purchased the premier issue of Lily and simply loved it. It was a refreshing magazine filled with timeless advice and beautiful articles. I have looked for the magazine in various stores including our local Christian bookstore and gift shop, but to no avail. PLEASE CONTINUE IT...very inspirational and exactly what we women need today in this crazy hectic paced world. A bit of quietude and refreshment to calm our busy days. I read the premier issue of Lily. I have been looking for it ever since, at bookstores, drug stores, Christian book stores, all to no avail. After reading the above letters, I understand why. I have to echo many of the comments. We finally get a good magazine and it folds? After only one issue??!!?? How is that even remotely giving the magazine a chance to build or establish a readership? Please bring it back (with the same type of content and layout, too, please) and give it a chance to bloom.

I was given an issue from my doctor's office and absolutely fell in love with it. How can I get a subscription. I love the spiritual verses throughout the magazine and everything about it. I have shared it with our daughters and would like to get them a subscription as well. Is it not being printed for subscription?

The authors of Workerette.com and the business blogging network Know More Media are in no way affiliated with the Meredith Corporation, the publishing house that premiered LILY.

If you wish to let the publishers of the magazine know your feelings regarding the matter, PLEASE visit the link in the blog post that leads to the Meredith Corp. website. I'm sure they have contact information there for you to send them an email or "snail mail" letter, or even to call them directly. I highly recommend that you do so, thus helping them to realize how much readers of that first issue enjoyed it and wanted to see more.

I am so greatful to have found this blog and information. Lily was the most beautiful magazine. It was practical and inspirational. The excellent photography laced with scriptures was so refreshing. I will follow the publishers link, as you have suggested and express my thoughts. Hopefully, they will consider publishing again, or I will be praying that another publisher will someday pick up the same format.

Lily is indeed a beautiful magazine. I have tried to read it but it doesn't actually fit my "manly" perspective. What do we do in our free time no ?

Ridge Mountains of Virginia, as close to haeven as one can be living on this beautiful earth.

I don't really need the money to be happy, but sharing the wealth with others would be great!
