When I first saw that headline pull up on a Google Alert, I thought I was looking at the title of a new movie or something! Turns out it's actually an article being run on icWales (the national website of Wales), discussing the number of Welsh women who are turning into "mums", then entrepreneurs.
Author Molly Watson has done a bang up job pulling together stats, quotes and anecdotes about a phenomenon that is not just as American as mom and apple pie. Or would that be mum? Either way, this piece is enlightening, well-written, and inspiring. Go read it if you're considering taking the leap from traditional employment to entrepreneur, especially if you've got kids or one on the way. I love how these "mumpreneurs" have shared their start-up stories in order to encourage other Workerettes out there considering their career options.
