Well, if the "Wendys" weren't enough, now there's another term for so-called independent women..."Cougars".
According to the icWales website, a new breed of women is ruling the boardroom and the bedroom. Apparently yet another concept that began in New York, thanks to shows like Sex and the City, these Urban Cougars are prowling the bars looking for fresh meat, er, men. They've even got a website, UrbanCougar.com!
I can't help but chuckle over this one too, but the article really does have some good info about business women (particularly the Wendys) in Wales and the UK in general. On the flip side, my best friend recently watched the Uma Thurman flick (Prime) mentioned at the end of the article, and recommended it to me.
I'm only 31, but it seems lately every interested man I meet is younger than me. Was she trying to tell me something? Oh dear...does that make me a cougar?
