I received my copy of the June/July 2006 issue of PINK magazine a few days ago. Turns out this is their 1st anniversary issue! They couldn't have chosen a better cover model, either: Iman. Before Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford or any of the other supermodels who have made their way from being "just another pretty face" became movers and shakers in their industry, Iman was a role model in building a brand. The feature story about her in this issue of PINK really hits home to me, since my mother has always been a David Bowie fan and I've always admired Iman for being beautiful both inside and out.
Other cover stories include pieces that ask if you can be "authentic in the workplace", an excellent article about women and alcohol, and a special pull-out section entitled "people.planet.profits", which focuses on sustainability and what the Big Boys (and Girls) of business are doing about it.
Next time you're at the newsstand, pick up a copy of PINK. Don't forget to come back and tell me about your favorite article!
