Glamour readers may have already seen this tear-jerker of an article in the new issue of the magazine, in their special feature section called "The Hero List". Susan Dominus pulled together an amazing piece about the fourteen female marines who were pulled together in a suicide attack in Fallujah a year ago.
Of the fourteen, three were killed and 11 were wounded. Dominus has shared the gut-wrenching details, the personal stories, and the aftermath (physical and emotional) the survivors still live through today. (Her last article was about Iraq war veteran Tammy Duckworth, which I posted about here as well.) No matter how you feel about the war and its causes, I encourage you to "meet" these heroes of June 23, 2005, through this touching article.
