Women in their senior years offer some great advice for younger generations.
- Don't put it off until tomorrow, because tomorrow may not come! Travel, catching up with old friends, saying I'm sorry, all the things that we say we'll do soon should not be put off because you never know what may happen.
- Own your feelings. Allow yourself to feel loss, happiness, anger and disappointment.
- Exercise for you. Exercise was advice listed for each generation!
- Keep up with the times. Stay up-to-date because even if you feel some aches and pains, you can still look good which often helps lift your spirits! Maybe even treat yourself to a make-over or massage.
- Try to maintain an active lifestyle because it only gets harder.
- Medic alert bracelet's are great for ER visits, but you should always have an emergency care plan handy. Information such as emergency contacts, insurance provider, allergies, medical conditions, blood type, etc. Keep one in your purse and on your refrigerator!
As I wrap up this series I think the underlying messages seem to be make sure you exercise and stay active, and think of yourself first so you can maintain positive attitude and relationships with friends and family.
