About.com has posted a list of some best sellers that appeal to women on different levels. Here's some with a brief description:
- The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. The story of Henry, who involuntarily travels through time, and Clare, the woman who loves him for almost her entire life. This is a love story that will draw you in and make you want to read certain parts over and over.
- The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. Set in the South during the 1960's, it's a coming of age story that deals with race, love, and Lily Owen's search for a connection to her mother who died when she was young.
- The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. This is a fiction novel that imagines the lives of the Biblical Patriarch Jacob's wives and only daughter, Dinah. It's an easy read, and one that will keep you in suspense.
- Midwives by Chris Bohjalian. This is an Oprah Book Club pick. It's about a midwife on trial for manslaughter after a home delivery goes wrong. Told from the viewpoint of the midwives daughter, this mystery deals with love, family, birth and death.
- Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. This beautiful story is about one woman's commitment to reconcile with and understand her mother by delving into the secrets in her sisterhood notebook.
All of these books have something that will help you appreciate the women in your life, including yourself!

Great suggestions, Amy! I'll have to look for some of these on my next trip to the library.
My mother has read The Secret Life of Bees and enjoyed it.
