Ivillage tells us that there is a scientific explanation for why we feel better after a cardio workout, or after we have a good laugh. We release endorphins, which are neurotransmitters produced in the brain that reduce pain. Here are some ways you can naturally induce your body to release endorphins:
- Eat a Chili Pepper. Chewing a hot pepper can release endorphins centrally and on the tongue.
- Think Positive Thoughts. Power positive thinking can release endorphins that may actually ease pain even if a medication is physically ineffective.
- Work Out. "Runner's High" is a term given to the feeling when you reach a certain point in your exercise routine when you feel a rush of positive energy.
- Have an Orgasm. This releases enough endorphins to make your body and mind feel better.
- Get Moved. Not physically, but emotionally. Watch a movie, watch your child play, have "a moment" with a friend or loved one, it will lift your spirits.
- Acupuncture. The small amount of pain felt, helps the body release needed stress, which triggers the endorphins.
- Eat Chocolate. This is my favorite suggestion. The cocoa bean actually has an effect on your brain that stimulates endorphin release. But it doesn't give you an excuse to eat a whole candy bar, just a few bites will trigger the release.
- Be Afraid. Fear also causes endorhin release, so go out and rent a really scary movie!
- Sit in the Sun. Now I know UV rays are bad, but they can also trigger endorphin production. That is why they say some people get addicted to sunbathing or tanning beds.
- Laugh. A chuckle or an all out giggle fest, laughter produces endorphins that will increase your immune function and make you more resistant to disease.
Think about these things, I know they make sense to me. So if you need some energy, now you have options. You can laugh, cry, sit outside, scream in horror, have sex, get poked with a needle, eat some spicy food, or my personal favorite, eat chocolate!

Playing bingo I am sure could be in your list. I am sure many endorphins are released as I wait excitedly for numbers to be called out and nothing beats the elation of winning a bingo prize... a definite feelgood factor.
Gossipping could be another. Nothing pleases women more than to have a good old natter and again with online bingo sites the chat rooms enable you to have a good goss with your friends.. try http://www.chitchatbingo.co.uk
