Yes, I'm serious! I just spotted an interesting article about a new organization whose aim is to "solve the shortage of over-the-road drivers" -- one gal at a time!
Apparently Females in Trucking wants to help female drivers network and find jobs through profiles, which they can use to match up drivers with trucking companies. They also hope to educate companies about the benefits of recruiting women, and retaining them.
Isn't this just one more case of the networking ability many women in business naturally display? Here are some savvy women in an industry that is not traditionally considered feminine, taking the time to share resources and help each other. My prediction is that they'll pique the interest of employers and potential employees as well!
