Did you know there are almost two million women vets? Userpages.aug.com is a great site dedicated to the women in war, from the Revolutionary War, all the way to today's women serving in Iraq.
History tells us 33,000 women served in WWI, and almost 500,000 took part in WWII. This site has links and information from when women's role's in the military were considered illegal, to women of today who serve as Majors, Captains, Airmen, Seamen; you name it, they do it!
It tells the stories of some of the soldiers, which makes it hit home so much more. There are a lot of workerette's in the military who make their families, and their country proud. So if I may do the honor of thanking all of our veterans for having the courage to fight for our rights! THANK YOU!
I tried to get into the website after I posted this entry and it's blocked. If you google female veterans, the title of the site is, "Women in Uniform, Veterans Too!"

Women are stronger than men! And I don't say that only because you are more beautiful, more patient and more sensitive than we are, but because it is true. Biologically speaking you are more likely to survive in harsh conditions, war included!
