I just spotted a press release over at PowerHomeBiz.com about the Mompreneurs Marketplace that describes an interesting opportunity for mom-owned businesses. If you're working from home or considering creating your own business, this might be one of many ways you could market your products or services in addition to having your own website, eBay auctions, etc. If you're looking for services or products it's a neat place to start as well. One of the first things a small- or home-based business owner need to do is network with, and consider purchasing from or bartering with, other small business owners. Kind of a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours", but it can lead to some great business contacts and even sales and referrals.
After you read the press release you might also want to check out the offerings of the site posting it, as well. I'm not too familiar with them, but it looks like they offer some good potential resources for folks running businesses from home too. Give it a look-see and let me know what you think!
