Did you watch the Country Music Awards on ABC last night? Even if you didn't, you've probably heard the buzz about Faith Hill and her reaction to the reading of the winner for best female vocalist.
Hill was nominated along with several other talented women. As usual, they showed all the nominees in boxes on the screen waiting for the winner to be read. When they said the winner is..Carrie Underwood, Faith did this weird thing where she threw her arms out as if she was ready to accept the award, but then said, "What!" on camera. Even though it couldn't be heard, you could clearly read her lips.
So today there are reports that she is disrespectful towards Underwood, and that she was irate that she lost. Hill says she was just trying to be funny, and she meant no disrespect towards Underwood who absolutely deserves the award.
I agree. I think it was a silly thing to do, but I think it was obvious she was just trying to be funny, and did not mean any harm. I've been looking for a site to view the actual footage for those of you who haven't seen it..anyone have a site? What did you think..is it being blown out of proportion?
