Some people may think it's impossible not to get a cold this time of year, but if you take some precautions you can avoid it. Vitacost.com lists these daily health tips from the American Lung Association:
- Avoid contact with people who already have a cold, and wash your hands after being around them.
- Keep hands away from your face, especially your eyes, mouth and nose.
- Keep clean hand towels in your bathroom, and keep a seperate one available for people who aren't sick.
- Keep your home humid to prevent your sinuses from drying out.
Sometimes it is unavoidable, especially of you have kids, but most important, wash your hands, and remind your children to do the same.
