There are some foods that contain serotonin, but your brain has to produce serotonin as part of a larger chain reaction involving insulin. But foods such as banana's, and carb based snacks like pretzels, cereal, mashed potatoes, and bread, can help your body produce the serotonin. If you're feeling your mood drop, try and eat a low-fat card snack of about 150 calories and see if it helps.
