Every Workerette knows how important it is to plan ahead and try to streamline things like grocery shopping, meal preparation, and kitchen storage in order to (hopefully!) add a few more minutes to the day. If you've enjoyed reading the recent Slow Cooking Thursday recipes here on Workerette, I think you'll be inspired to plan ahead with the new Menu Plan Monday posts as well.
Whether you're a single Workerette trying to plan things out so you'll eat something other than fast food, a working mom with a large family at home, or an empty nester ready to really relish your time in the kitchen, Menu Plan Mondays can get you started. I've learned a lot from the other ladies who participate, and hopefully I can pass on a few suggestions here on my own as well.
Here's what's cooking in my kitchen this week:
- Monday: Tuna Sandwiches (original, I know!)
- Tuesday: Teriyaki Chicken with vegetables
- Wednesday: Tilapia with Broccoli Cheese Rice
- Thursday: "Breakfast Night" (pancakes & scrambled eggs)
- Friday: Slow-Cooked Tamale Casserole
- Saturday: Leftovers
- Sunday: Chunky Sausage Spaghetti (Make a batch of super chunky spaghetti sauce by adding diced smoked sausage, along with 1 can each of olives and mushrooms to your favorite spaghetti sauce; I tried this for my husband and a friend and it was a major hit!)
