One of the ways I've been trying to pull things together to make better use of our grocery budget is by watching the weekly sale flyers from my local grocers and pharmacies and making lists based off of the sales and my weekly menu plans. I also made sure to sign up for savings cards at each store so I can take advantage of any special "club" prices. Those steps, in conjunction with using more coupons, has added up to quite the savings dollar-wise, but it has meant more use of my time. It'd sure be nice if somebody would help me check the ads and throw things out there that are actually of use and interest to me in my planning, you know?
That's why I was willing to go check out MyGroceryDeals.com when I got a nice email from their business development VP, Ed Hladkowicz. He informed me that they've been building their database from a grassroots level up, and they are now nationwide with more than 50,000 zip codes and more than 4,000 counties in their offerings. Basically, their goal was to do exactly what I was looking for: cut down on the amount of page flipping and sale flyer reading I was doing!
I popped over and checked out the site, and it's attractive, informative, and pretty easy to use. Best part? It's a free online service, so it's not costing me the grocery savings! I think Ed's right when he told me that it's a program you Workerettes might like to check out. Pop on over and give it a try; let me know what you think too!
