Has spring sprung where you live? It's trying where I live, but the standard joke about the Pacific Northwest is that if you wait five minutes, the weather will change. (Trust me, it's true. We've gone from sun to rain in the time it took me to type that sentence!)
One thing that can brighten just about anyone's day is a walk through the garden. Since I don't have a garden any more, and a walk through one would be rather unenjoyable, I think a big vase of beautiful flowers would fit the bill quite nicely instead. That's why I've been ooh'ing and ah'ing
over the ProFlowers.com website this afternoon.
First of all, just the site alone is gorgeous. It's easy to navigate and offers tons of options such as selcting by flower type, occasion, and price range. Secondly, they deliver their flowers fresh from the field so you get to enjoy them longer. (And who wouldn't want that?) Lastly, I have been totally sucked in by their sister sites, Cherry Moon Farms and Secret Spoon Sweets.
Having a baby on the way means that our family's on a budget, so I love the fact that there is a large selection of arrangements (including a potted rose plant and bulb sets) for under $40. [Note to my husband: should a certain family decide to get a certain mom the potted red rose for Mother's Day it might not be a bad thing.]
Be sure to check out their Pink Ribbon Collection too. If you recall my breast cancer awareness posts from last year, you'll know that I really appreciate any company that supports The Komen Foundation as these folks do. Purchase any of the items on the Pink Ribbon Collection page and 10% of the sales price (yes, it says the sales price, not just of the profits from the item) is donated to the Foundation.
Just think...you can have flowers delivered right to your office or home (or that of a family member or sister Workerette), fresh from the field, and depending on your choices, you can even contribute to a good cause. I'm loving it!
Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to hit Cherry Moon Farms again too. Y'all know I'm a sucker for organic fruit....

Oooh...I LOVE their site!! Too bad there's no one to buy me flowers! LOL =( Eh, the cats eat 'em and get sick anyhow...
But the Cherry Moon Farms site....mmmm.... =) That makes me happy. Very happy. Me likey! =)
