No, ladies, I don't mean blogs that are actually about green beans. *chuckle* I'm actually referring to blogs, and bloggers, that focus on "green" living, environmental issues, natural and organic products, and the like.
As you know, I'm a big fan of the easy, baby steps process to going green. Despite what some folks would have us believe, it's actually very easy for people from all walks of life to take small steps and tackle little tasks and enjoy a cleaner, greener lifestyle. For some, the convincing comes from saving the planet. For others, it's the effects the changes can have on their health or that of their families. The other big justification for going green is saving your green - cold, hard cash.
No matter what our reasons (I fall under all of the above, personally!), it's always worthwhile to take the time to seek out others who are on the same pathway, especially those who are a few steps ahead. Glean what you can from them, use what works for you, and consider sharing your thoughts, tips, and triumphs with other Workerettes too. Everyone can come up with a list of ways to make changes in the home, the office, on the road, and all points in between.
Let me know which of these blogs you find something fantastic on!
- Walk Slowly, Live Wildly: Sara always has something of interest to say. And can I just say her blog is scrumptious to look at? Chuh. If only she had the time to post daily. But then, that wouldn't be simple living, would it?
- The Green Mommy: I just discovered Jenny's blog thanks to well, Sara's blogroll! I'm so glad I took the time to visit. Jenny's got a fine hand on the sewing side and some great ideas for her future. Can't wait til she gets that website built....
- Gaia Girl: Even Gaia's blog template is super green! Another new find for me, and I am enjoying reading about her solar oven efforts. Be sure to check out those posts first - interesting, and recipes to boot!
