Have the steps and resources in my Easy Environmentalism series gotten you jumpstarted on turning a tinge more green? If you're looking for another way to live a more organic life, then the Mission: Organic 2010 project will definitely be of interest to you.
It's pretty simple, really. You just commit to eating at least 10% organic. That's a drop in the bucket when you really think about it; it can mean just switching to organic milk and dairy products and woosh, you've accomplished your goal (and can challenge yourself to a higher percentage)! I speak from experience on this one, ladies, because it's how I started out myself. I was "only" going to invest in organic milk because a friend passed on horror stories about growth hormones causing early puberty and antibiotic resistance in kids.
That was in 2000. Funny how I'm now buying about 40 - 50% organic, with more affordable options on the horizon each day. All because of some milk!
Take a few minutes today to learn about the Mission: Organic 2010 project and sign up your family. Then be sure to visit their Do Something page for a bunch of quick and easy tips for going green. I think you'll be surprised at how a little effort can turn out a lot of benefit for busy Workerettes like you and me!
