I am the CEO & Founder of Cedar Valley Publishing were I have released the award winning and state approved books, Let’s Get Ready For Kindergarten! & Let’s Get Ready For First Grade! I am the CEO & Founder of Stacey Kannenberg Unlimited, an Imprint of Cedar Valley Publishing, where I publish books for other authors. I am also a Principal of Mom Central Consulting where I work with an amazing group of mom entrepreneurs, all with national platforms, who help clients and brands reach the mom market.
What was the inspiration or catalyst for the creation of your business?
I created Cedar Valley Publishing and wrote Let's Get Ready For Kindergarten! and Let's Get Ready For First Grade! to help my own kids get ready for school. I wanted a book that I could use while my children were 3 and 1 that would be engaging enough to keep them interested and something we could read over and over so they would be ready for school. I couldn’t find what I wanted so I created it. Empowering parents to be involved with education at the core has become my mission. Most parents want to be involved in the educational process for their kids. Unfortunately, many do not know what to do. Some will be shocked at how advanced the Kindergarten and First Grade curriculum has become and unfortunately, a few will realize that they should have been working with their children at home before they entered Kindergarten! Many parents do not realize that children are tested in the first four weeks of Kindergarten on the alphabet and number to 10 out of sequence, shapes, colors, coins, counting objects to 10 and how far they can count to 100. If parents and kids aren't prepared and excited about Kindergarten, how can we expect them to be involved at the 5th grade level or at High School? The foundation begins at Kindergarten and First Grade!
Stacey Kannenberg Unlimited was started to empower others to help get published and Mom Central Consulting was a dream of National Parenting Guru and Today Show Contributor, Stacy DeBroff, the founder and CEO who invited me to become a Principal and Consultant.
