Honestly, with all three businesses, I just jumped in feet first and took every day individually and focused on learning something new about starting, building and creating a business. Everyday, I strive to learn more and continue to grow each business, creatively! I am branding myself as the Ready To Learn Mom, where I can help parents become involved in their child’s education, help kids get ready for that first day of school, inspire other’s to follow their passion, navigate the publishing maze and help businesses reach the mom market.
Please tell us about the resources you've used thus far and would recommend to others (or steer them away from). Take a moment to share your educational background (both academic and work-based) and point out things that have helped or hindered you along the way from that education.
Each business venture was self-funded. Honestly it’s amazing what you can do with a computer and a phone to build a national platform. It takes long hours with many hurdles to jump and fires to extinguish, but the rewards are definitely worth it! I was a Journalism Major that ended up in a strong career in sales and marketing. That has been the difference behind my publishing success. You can have the best idea on the planet, but the key is finding a way to bring that idea to market! Marketing and networking has been the key to my successes!
