Meet & Greet with Stacey Kannenberg, Part 3
What do you enjoy most about operating your business?  What tasks would you perform even if it had nothing to do with the successful operation of your company?

I absolutely love what I do and I get paid to do what I do.  I continue to wear all the company hats and will always continue to be involved in all areas, especially the marketing and networking of all my companies!

What is the least enjoyable part of operating your business?  Are there any tasks you'd gladly delegate to someone else, no matter what the price?

If I don’t love to do it – I don’t.  With running three successful business, being a mom, wife and keeping an organized household – something had to give.  I have

outsourced the household stuff that I don’t enjoy:  weeding, cutting the yard, cleaning the house, every two weeks and cooking.  I found people that love to clean, love to cook and love to garden and they do what makes them happy and I have more time to focus on things that I enjoy!  It’s truly a win/win for all of us and we have never been happier!!

What's the worst advice you've been given with regard to building or operating your business?  How about the best advice?

I don’t look at worst and best anymore because some of the darkest times in my business opened the door to some of my greatest achievements.  I am starting to see opportunities rather than obstacles.

What challenges have you overcome during your endeavor?  Please describe something that impacted you financially or intellectually and how you got past it.

Cedar Valley Publishing was a partnership with another mom.  When she wanted out of the business it was more difficult than you could imagine.  It was like a death with lawyers and a legal nightmare.  I thought I was going to lose my company and all that we had created.  My only option was to fight.  During this time, I was battling attorneys, printers and it seemed as if everything was falling apart around me.  It was during my darkest hour that suddenly everything became crystal clear.  I found my voice and took charge of my company and came out a better, stronger person with a clear head, heart and mission!
