Every Workerette knows how important it is to plan ahead and try to streamline things like grocery shopping, meal preparation, and kitchen storage in order to (hopefully!) add a few more minutes to the day.
Whether you're a single Workerette trying to plan things out so you'll eat something other than fast food, a working mom with a large family at home, or an empty nester ready to really relish your time in the kitchen, Menu Plan Mondays can get you started. I've learned a lot from the other ladies who participate, and hopefully I can pass on a few suggestions here on my own as well.
My sister-in-law and her beau are here for Labor Day weekend, so Monday will be a humongo barbecue. I decided to go all out and have "real" food instead of just the standard burgers flung on the grill. Just had to choose one slow cooker recipe for that day; watch for it on Thursday!
- Monday: Grown-Up Barbecue (Steak with Golden Zucchini, Creamy Red Potatoes, and Black Bean Salsa for the tortilla chips)
- Tuesday: Domino's Pizza (I got a 2-fer-1 coupon good only on Tuesdays. What can I say?)
- Wednesday: Baked Chicken & Vegetable Rice
- Thursday: Enchiladas
- Friday: Cheesy Tuna Broccoli Skillet Casserole (Almost takes longer to type the name than it does to make the thing!)
- Saturday: Spaghetti & Salad
- Sunday: Turkey Patty Melts
Be sure to visit Laura and the other bloggers participating in Menu Plan Monday for more great ideas (and recipes) for your meal planning!
