Do you often exchange recipes with friends and relatives? Do you enjoy spending time in the kitchen (and the baking and spice aisles at the grocery store)?
If so, you might want to check out the Bake for the Cure campaign benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Every time site users register a product, forward a recipe to a friend, or submit a recipe of their own, a donation will be made to the Komen Foundation. Here's the breakdown:
- Submit a recipe and $0.10 will be donated
- Share a recipe and for each friend (up to five) $0.10 will be donated
- Register a promotional product's UPC and $0.25 will be donated. (If you can't find the specially labeled promo products, you can register regular products and they'll still make a donation. Only fair since you're still buying their stuff!)
There is also an awareness page with statistics about breast cancer and further information about how women can attempt to protect themselves against this killer.
