Something tells me that working at Comcast is a nightmare these days. If you're not getting your monitor smashed to bits by a customer with a hammer, you're being blogged about in the worst ways. Yes, you read that right: a hammer.
Comcast's customer service apparently leaves much to be desired. Customers are venting at the ComcastMustDie blog; they are throwing fits and taking it out in the Comcast offices.
Every business owner can use some feedback. It's one thing when folks start making waves in the blogosphere, but I'd say Comcast should sit up and take notice when a 75-year-old woman walks in and starts letting lose with home improvement tools. Something tells me the feedback was negative on that one.
Thankfully I'm not a Comcast customer, but my grandparents are. When they first switched over to Comcast from AOL, my grandmother had some problems with her computer and called in for assistance from a rep. She had a bugger of a time getting things situated and ultimately ended up being told, by the rep, that if she couldn't figure out Comcast's system, she should go back to AOL!
Gosh - I wonder why the customers aren't happy.
Seems to me that Comcast is going to need a pretty serious overhaul and some sit-downs with management and employees to fix this PR nightmare. For the rest of us, well - it's a good lesson of how not to treat your clients and your customers!
