I just received word from the higher-ups at Know More Media that they have some new blog openings available for writers with expertise/interests in a variety of business topics. I know a number of you faithful readers are freelance writers, and others of you work in industries that KMM is seeking to explore in the blogosphere. So make sure you get over to the "Write For Us" page and read the post closely.
Do me a special favor - don't just go to the blog you're interested in and leave a comment asking KMM to contact you. I don't know their direct policy regarding the matter, but having done plenty of time in management myself, I can say flat out that an applicant who didn't follow the hiring procedure was pretty much an automatic "no" in my book. If you're serious about getting yourself published but you're just starting out, a blog gig is a great way to go - but you have to make sure you're just as professional in your online contacts as you'd be in a face-to-face interview. Show them your style, but show them you read the rules too.
