Queen Elizabeth has been declared one of Vogue's top 50 most glamorous women - and who can argue? The Queen has a sense of style that comes not from fancies and foo-foos but from poise, grace, intelligence, and an obvious eye for quality. Over the decades she's enthralled many the royal watcher, even here in the U.S.
Personally I love the statement from the magazine that glamour is about "how you wear something, not about what you wear. You cannot buy glamour and you can't fake it." When you're in your 80s and still being looked up to for your sense of style, you know you're doing something right. That's a lesson that could be taught to many young Workerettes (especially in the entertainment industry!) before they end up looking like style disasters, not simply stylish. On the same token, this is a good reminder to those of us who don't have to invest in clothes for an office away from home that yoga pants and a sweatshirt do not style make - even if they are on an itty bitty skinny behind, they are still sweats.
