After posting some little tidbits yesterday that were noteworthy but not quite in need of a full post, I thought it would be fun to try to throw some quick little things together on a list for you every few days. Longer articles are interesting, of course, but sometimes we working gals don't have time for more than a quick glance at someone's blog.
I'll get the ball rolling, but I need YOUR help! Leave me plenty of comments with the titles of books you've enjoyed (and why), blogs of interest, articles worth reading, and other little tidbits you think other busy gals would find interesting.
Here are a few to get you started for today:
- Woman's Day magazine has announced the women who have earned their Woman's Day Awards for going above and beyond the call of duty to support causes close to their hearts.
- Ever considered opening a franchise operation but couldn't find one that was a good fit for you as a woman? Check out The Little Black Book for Every Busy Woman's directory franchise program and see if it's up your alley.
- Traveling a lot and lamenting that you can't work out? Throw a towel on the floor (seriously - who knows when that hotel carpet was last cleaned!) and do push-ups, sit ups, and some good ol' fashioned jumping jacks. Pack a jump rope and try to remember some of the old chants from your girlhood days. It counts as mental training too! (Plus you can get "Miss Mary Mack" stuck in someone else's head later.)
