Catalyst Office: Your New Tool for the New Year?

Sponsored Review

I was recently offered the opportunity to check out Catalyst Office, a new small business software program specifically created for the small business owner.  I was a little leery at first since the program does not currently work with the browser I was using (IE).  However, when I found out I could download the browser FireFox, which it is meant to work with, for free - I figured, why not?catalystweblogo.gif

I suggest that those of you with a small business get over to the Catalyst website right away and give it a good once over!  You can sign up for a free trial and get up and running within 15 minutes.  The best part?  If you already have FireFox there's nothing to download.

Why would I make such a broad recommendation?

CatalystOffice was specifically created to help eliminate the hassles small business owners have of dealing with Microsoft Windows and Outlook programs.  No more swapping back and forth and back and forth and - yeah, you've got the idea.  The program still works with other Microsoft programs but helps streamline gobs of tasks from IMing with independent contractors/employees at various locations to emailing, creating a calendar, and even a journal and profiles.

I have to say, I sure wish someone had offered me this program when I was trying to wrangle several dozen contractors and an additional handful of company employees in my publishing days.  Frankly I think CatalystOffice would have saved me a lot of hassles.   I think it's worth investigating if you're looking for a cost-effective method of managing your small business (or someone else's, if you're the employee, not the employer!) - once you've had your free trial you can choose from four different plans, starting at only $25 a month!  They don't charge you by the number of users, but by the amount of storage you use for your files.  How handy is THAT?

This program is super duper new, so be sure to check out the Catalyst launch blog for more information as well.  I think this is perfect timing if one of your goals for your company is to streamline and become more organized and efficient.  And just think: if another one of your goals was to cut down on your stress, well - this might be just the ticket!
