I got the sweetest email a moment ago and I'm super excited about it - not just because it stroked my ego (and hey, who doesn't like that upon occasion?), but also because the writer led me to her fantabulous blog.
Keep Working, Girlfriend: Women, Work, and Chronic Illness is a must-visit blog today because the authors, Rosalind Joffe and Joan Friedlander, are offering up humor, insight, advice, news and the works (no pun intended) for women dealing with chronic illness and the other stressors of life. You know, those things like making a living, having a family, dealing with the holidays - that sort of stuff we all sweat, even when we aren't dealing with things like chronic health issues.
I just have to share Rosalind's note with you, not only because she tagged me for a meme (that's up next, I promise!), but also because she's got a BOOK due next summer and I want you to get all her contact information so you can check it out too! Read on to see what this Workerette had to say today:
HI Melonie,

Thanks for checking out our blog -- and noticing the book. The good news is it will be out April - and I will let you know! Yup - working women should know about it since it's estimated that 1 in 4 have an autoimmune disease and 1 in 2 live with some chronic illness. Yikes! Look forward to reading your posts, Melonie.
