Today I ran across an interesting blog that I just have to pass along to the rest of you Workerettes: Voice Output. Voice Output is a brand-spankin' new offering from working mom CC, who works with elementary age kids in grades K-5 as a Speech Pathologist. She also has a spouse and two young children, so as most of us can attest, there's quite the balancing act to be had in her life.
So far her few posts are interesting, well-written, and full of life. From her welcome post:
This is intended to be all about speech, language, childhood development, special education, and the schools. I'll explore current topics in Speech Pathology, language development, American Sign Language, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and anecdotes from my work time adventures!
Whether you've considered a career as a Speech Pathologist, are currently working in the field of education, or have a child with an IEP, this blog looks like it'll be the place to go for insight, issues to mull over, and hazards most of us don't think about in the educator's world.
Go on over to Voice Output and give CC a great big blogosphere welcome. Tell her you found her via Workerette.com and leave her lots of comments. They make all bloggers feel warm and fuzzy. *hint hint*
