
You gals know as well as I do that there are a lot of things that can fall by the wayside when you're trying to balance a career, your health, a family, friends, hobbies - you name it, there's a working woman around here somewhere who's trying to find time to spin a multitude of plates. Speaking of spinning, my husband just sent me a link to an article that I think is a subtle hint. Well, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's worried about my health and yours. *chuckle*
Seriously though, gals, this article over on FOXNews.com touches (no pun intended) on twelve health benefits to having sex. No, it's not a joke. But if you've put "it" on the backburner here are some excellent reasons to feel the burn - minus the gym membership - in no particular order:
- Weight loss/weight control: Hey, all physical activity burns calories, right?
- Stress relief: Well, chuh. Getting your cookie iced has gotta make you destress, doesn't it? (Yes, I borrowed that line from my hubby. And yes, it works.)
- Immune booster: This is cold and flu season, after all....
- Longevity: I must admit, this is my favorite line from the whole article: "Living longer also gives you and your honey the opportunity for even more lovin'." Who wants to live forever, as Queen sang in Highlander?
