Over the past few months I've participated in the weight loss challenges hosted over at Tales from the Scales to try to get rid of the baby weight I put on earlier this year. The current challenge is to "Look Great in 2008" and participants seem to really be thriving - not just on the scales, but in their networking and support of each other. And these gals aren't the only ones on earth to take the ol' New Year's Resolution of "lose *insert your weight loss goal here* in *insert a year here*" each year. Or each month. Or whenever.
It would appear that Tales isn't the only great place to go for weight-loss and fitness inspiration; Women's Health magazine recently featured a fantastic list of blogs to visit for motivation and plenty of, if you'll pardon the pun, belly laughs.
Here are a few of their picks from the blogosphere - even the titles of some of these blogs are good for a chuckle (and seem very familiar to some of us!):
- Lose the Buddha - Lemme just put this out there: this woman is BEYOND witty.
- Back in Skinny Jeans - Excellent quotes about karma, Sephora's wonky marketing efforts, and more. Plus it's just a nice lookin' blog. I think this might take my "favorite blog" for today.
- Cranky Fitness - not so much a weight-loss blog as a fitness blog, but who cares when the About section says something like "because most health and fitness advice is too damn cheerful." AMEN to THAT! Then again, I'm not known for being particularly cheerful - especially while exercising.

Thanks for mentioning Cranky Fitness!
This looks like a great blog, btw. Here's hoping there's less to be cranky about in 2008 for you and all your readers.
