Happy Monday, Workerettes! WHEW! January sure started 2088 off with a bang at my house - let's see, I think the "bang" would be tree limbs falling and transformers blowing. *wink* We're happy to be back home with power (most especially heat!) again and hopefully things will be quiet and calm for a little while so I can get back to work! We'll see. ;-)
NOW - let's get back to some business, shall we? January is traditionally the type of making resolutions to get fit, get organized, save money, make money; you gals know the drill, I'm sure. I certainly have some spots around the house that I want to get organized again, and I want to get my blogs and work life all spic 'n span again too. To that end, I'm bringing back Menu Plan Monday here on Workerette.com.
As with Slow Cooking Thursday, I've found that it appears to be more useful to the bulk of folks who contacted me when I took if off this blog. Hopefully with Menu Plan Monday you'll be able to get some ideas for things to put on your own future menus - or maybe you'll become inspired to streamline things around your own house with menu plans. Remember, this isn't just for us work-at-home moms! You can be single with no kids, retired with your spouse, or working nights with both your kids and your parents to care for - planning ahead for your personal situation with a little bit of wiggle room for longer than expected shifts, school events, and business travel still puts you ahead of the game!
That said, here's what will (probably) be cooking in my kitchen this week:
- Monday: Sandwiches (ballet night)
- Tuesday: Spaghetti & Meat Sauce
- Wednesday: Sandwiches
- Thursday: Cubed Steaks, Brown Rice & Green Beans
- Friday: Homemade Pizza (family movie night)
- Saturday: Spaghetti & Meat Sauce (leftovers)
- Sunday: Three-Bean Chili (saving leftovers for next week)
